News

2026.7.24 - Separate libraries - CHANGED: Each Audiobookshelf library is now listed separately instead of merged into single Audiobooks/Podcasts folders. Enable "Group libraries by type" in settings for the old grouped view. 2026.7.10 - API key login - NEW: Optional API Key setting; when set it is used directly as the bearer token (no login/refresh) and overrides username/password. 2026.7.9 - Kodi repo compliance - Settings localized via strings.po; icon flattened (no transparency); LICENSE renamed to LICENSE.txt; fanart added. 2026.7.8 - Chronological offline queues - Downloads store the episode publish date so offline auto-play queues order chronologically, matching the online queue. 2026.7.7 - Auto-play: mixed streamed/downloaded - Auto-play queues mix streamed and downloaded episodes; also works fully offline. No resume dialog between episodes. 2026.7.6 - Auto-play next podcast episode - "Auto-play next episode" setting (default off) plays a native Kodi playlist from the selected episode forward. Progress tracked per episode. 2026.7.5 - Progress sync fix - Progress upload no longer loops forever; empty/non-JSON 2xx responses are treated as success. 2026.5.28 - Now-playing cover art, author, JWT auth - Covers/author on the now-playing screen; JWT auth with auto refresh (requires server v2.26.0+).
