According to Microsoft, the new appearance the app now boasts at equals a year of lessons learned from users feedback.

While previously adhering to a dark theme perhaps intentionally alluding to Windows 10 colors, the new theme on the other hand has a bit lighter color to it resulting in a more vibrant and lively look and of course it also integrates better with Android as a whole.

Nevertheless the new look doesn’t sum up in just color cosmetics but also brings a new “quick actions” feature that puts the frequent things you do with Cortana on the front page when you access the app.

Furthermore, Cortana answers containing visual information relevant for display are now shown in a cleaner, full-page display.

Under the hood Microsoft also claims that they’ve improved Cortana’s overall speed so that “you can get what you need more quickly on the go”.

Aside from the appearance, residents of the UK might be happy to learn that Cortana is now ready to be used by them as of today.

So, if you’re a Windows user who happens to own an Android smartphone you could now synchronize between your desktop and phone getting desktop set notifications on your mobile or call alerts on your desktop for example.
